Hi All,
Just thought i would update a bit more on Patrick,
He is still in hospital, they have taken him off the feeding tube they did that on monday morning,
They have put Patrick on a high calorie diet to help him with his weight gain and being able to keep it on at a consistant rate all the time.
They have not treated him for the ear infection they assumed that it would heal it self and have not worried about it.
There is a meeting about his care on tuesday and what will be involved with his milk and feeding etc.
They do this prior to discharge , but we will see what happens!
Patrick is looking good,
Hope he is home soon,

Hi All,
sorry have been out of touch, had a few probblem with the internet.
Anyway i wanted to let all know that Patrick is back in hospital again after been out of since may 08.
This time Patrick has an ear infection and on drip feed all weekend. They have gone back to Same probblems as before with his weight but they have been told that we already know that but we want answers to why he is not putting on weight. Patrick eats heaps of food thou, lots of bottles but not putting on the weight as to what they discribe as being "so" called Normal Babies do. Its like one week he puts on weight but the next week may lose some weight.
With the ear infection they have not started him on antibiotics yet, which seems to be very concering to me at the moment.
I hope he will be home soon,
Keep informed,

Hi all,
So sorry i have not posted a blog for over a week now!!
Things here are doing along well and still waitting to hear when is Charlotte's appointment is.
Working on swimming lessons for the kids at the moment, should be really good for them.
Nicholas had a nasty fall last week, he clogged his head on something and made a small cut at the top of his head, then he fell over again and made big scrap next to his cut and made them both bleed again! Damian put pressure on it both times to stop it from bleeding. He is doing fine now. Poor thing!
Patrick, he is doing well and happy. Growing up fast as they do! Loves going to Childcare.
Charlotte is doing well.
All is doing fine,
keep you all posted!

Hi all,
Sorry i have not been writing as much!
I wanted to say thanks to all whom gave advice about charlotte and her sensetivity to food, she will be seeing a pedarictian regarding this beacuse it has got a little out of and is not normal for charlotte to be vomitting for no reason. The ped she is going to see has a 4 month waiting list at the moment so we should hear something early next year, i hope! Charlotte is 21/2 years old!
Nicholas is his normal self, trying to copy what his sister does!!
Patrick is coming along well with his reflux, starting to get used to childcare now, great news, will not need to see a phisco now! Great news there! Patrick doing great wanting to learn more now.
Me(Steph), well being so busy as i am with the kids, i try to get some respite when the kids are at childcare as much as possible. Still going along as normal.
That's all news for now!
Oh! My man(No did not forget him,but there is nothing to report for him at the moment)
Take Care!

Hi All,
Sorry I keep writting about Patrick all the time!!.
I thought this time I should write about my other two children Charlotte and Nick(Nicholas)
Not much is happpening with them, althou charlotte see's a speech path regarding her speech as she had some delays in this area,so they are working with her every week on this.
I don't know if it has anything to so with me as i had to see a speech path for 18 months when i was starting reception, this was due to a number of things which i wont go into detail beacuse it would take a very long time and i do'nt have that time. I still to this day have a slight speech impedament but not as bad as when i was little.
Anyway enough from me!

Hi All,
I thought I would write to let all know how things went today with patrick seeing the pedatritian today.
He went well, still concerns over a few things like his development the fact that he maybe a month behind, but i would think that is beacuse he was in hospital for that first two months and he is a bit behind, but i think that will pick up and he will be fine.
The Pedatrtian is wanting patrick to see a physo and have an OT see him regarding his development, seem a bit extreme for me, but wil see what happens.
Patrick still needs to keep putting on weight, not enough thou!
Had to have a blood test for his iron, to make sure that he is getting enough iron in him
It feels like that we are going round the merry go round.
I hope that there is some realif for the poor little boy.
I will keep all informed of what is happening.
Oh by the way, thanks to all for the advice about charlotte and her senativity to food,we are putting in a referal for charlotte to see a doctor about her tummy.

Hi All,
Not much happening this weekend, apart from my partner playing cricket on saturday, like most who play sport on saturdays.
My kids have been keeping bussy doing there thing such as things that they should not be doing but we soon put a stop that.
Another week ahead to come with things happening everyday.
Patrick is off to see the pedaritrian tommrrow regarding his weight, the child and youth health nurse is saying that he could be one of those babies that put's on weight slowly for the first 12 months and then he will keep putting on weight at a consistant rate, we will have to wait and see what happens and what the doc say's about it all. Have to keep a food diary of his bottles and his food that he has all the time. Seems all a bit much for Patrick at 7 months old.
Patrick being a relfux baby, he was much worse when it all started, he was still in hospital then.
Patrick was born at home, very unexpeceted and had a few probblems with him in terms on his health at the time but as time went it became alot more than a few probblem at the begnning of it all. Patrick spent the first two months of his life in hospial. He was a full term baby.
Patrick is coming along well now, cross fingers!
