| my family |
hi there! I'm 33 y/o and a stay-at-home mum of 2 gorgeous boys (7 y/o and 2.8 y/o) and a happy wife to a very loving and supportive husband. Kids and I have been here in Oz for a year and 2mos now. I'm simple, friendly, approachable...I love singing, playing piano, surfing the net, reading books and reading my Bible. My family is active in our Christian Church and I'm a member of the Music Ministry. And since I'm not working at present, I sell perfumes (genuine with very low prices ) and beaded jewelries to have extra income for the family. |

It's been awhile since I last posted here. A lot of things have changed and more of them are for the better and we thank God for it.
My family is doing very well. DS1 will be finishing Year 3 in 2 months time while DS2 will be starting with Pre-School next year. He's attending a High Support child care since Feb 2007 and he has progressed a lot. He's more talkative now although still some of his words are unclear but he can communicate with us more now than before. I still feel a bit stressed at times but I guess it's just normal and whenever I felt that, I just say a little prayer and ask God's grace to comfort me and refresh me. Truly indeed as I have started with a new hobby a few months ago and that is stamping and cardmaking. This allows myself to de-stress and it also serves as a therapy. I enjoy making cards and giving them to family and friends. I'm also into altering crafts. In fact, I built a blog especially for my hobby and if you get the chance you can visit it at MY CRAFTS AND STUFFS . There you can see all the cards and stuffs that I have created. Feel free to leave a comment or two. :)
Hubby and I are doing good as well. We're still actively serving our church, attending Bible studies and Sunday Services. In fact, tomorrow he will be preaching for our service. We celebrated our 1st year wedding anniversary (we got married in a Christian ceremony last year) and we really thank God for that wonderful blessing. We see to it that God is in the center of our relationship and we put Him first in everything that we do.
I guess this is all for now and will just post more later.
Have a blessed day and will catch up on other's blogs soon.

Prayers can really do wondrous things! DS2 is somehow starting to talk (without prompting). I've been trying to teach him to say words (although he still can't pronounce it clearly, but we'll get to it) that's why when the speech therapist visited him last Wed, she was amazed on how he progressed. He's being seen every 2 weeks so the "work" is really on my part actually but it's ok, he's my son and I love him and I'll do anything that I can to help him with this. Praise God!
Another thing, my ultrasound went well. The Sonographer told me that he couldn't see anything wrong, though I haven't seen the written report yet, I've already claimed that everything is FINE in JESUS' name. God is really bigger than any "speech delay" or sickness or anything.....He's really awesome. All glory and praise to Him!

I haven't been online lately but here' s the latest news in my life...
my DS2 Jhetro has been initially diagnosed 2 days ago with global developmental delay (and a possible mild form of autism) ...he's currently delayed on speech. the pedia assessed him yesterday and asked us questions and she came up with this. I was really quiet inside the clinic and just opens my mouth whenever the pedia ask something, sometimes it's DH who answers. He will be having some tests in the future and we're praying for normal results. The Pedia said we are qualified for the Carer's Allowance. I don't really care if I'll be eligible for that or not, as long as my DS is fine that's all that matters to me. I kept silent on our way home but when we got to our parking lot, I wasn't able to contain my emotions. I cried hard and DH told me that he knew exactly how I feel. I see my son as a normal boy only with a bit of delay and apart from that he's just smart and gorgeous. I'm feeling kind of low atm but our family believes that God is in control of these things and my son is as precious to Him as any other children. We'll get through with this with His help.
and this is definitely true...

Good morning everyone! I have been offline from Minti for a week or so. I have had my 2d ECHO done on 2nd Feb. My cardio said that the leak (mitral regurgitation) has progressed compared to that of last year but he still considers it as a mild leak. Nevertheless, I still have to take antibiotics everytime I'll have tooth extraction or cleaning, and any surgery. Right now I'm hooked on a 24hr holter monitor to check any heartbeat problems that could somehow be the reasons for my symptoms. It will be taken off this afternoon at 5pm. Thanks for those who have prayed for me and for all your thoughts. And I'm also thankful coz Rolly (DH) has been very supportive of me. He is definitely God-send. I love you daddy
DS1 Jared went back to school last Tue (30 Jan), he's already on Yr 2 and he's already somehow getting the hang of it. He actually finished his first assignment for the term last night. On the other hand, my DS2 Jhetro was already visited by a Speech Therapist last wk (Friday, 02Feb) and was assessed by his speech problems. The lady ST said that DS2 can actually talk but he's just too lazy to do it She told us some things to help Jhetro motivate to talk and she will be following it up this Thursday (08 Feb). I really thank God that Jhetro was attended sooner than we expected, to think we only filed our application I guess, 2wks ago. Yesterday, I let him ate by himself on his high chair and he enjoyed it and finished his food! So, I will be doing it more frequently this time..or on a daily basis. And oh, I bought him Thomas the Tank stuffs last week and yesterday...he's such a Thomas fan.
I'll be updating my blog again later this day when I get the chance. Until then, may God bless us all!
just sharing with you another pic of my 2 lovely boys
