OMG...it's NOT over!

Comment Published at 20:1020:1012 comments12 comments33 Visits33 VisitsReport

Oscar is asleep, Jack is playing & I have done the ironing & had lunch. First thing this morning Jack, Oscar & I were in the kitchen finishing breakfast, Jack turned to me & told me he'd done a poo & I thought "oh god, tell me we aren't back to that" but I didn't see him do it. Out to the toilet & yes it was diarrhoea. Thank god I had put jocks on him last night after his shower! I don't usually put jocks on him at night, and I have no idea why I did - mother's instinct maybe? While I was cleaning the mess he was outside (the toilet is in the laundry off the back veranda so we have to go outside to get to it) and got upset & said "I've got something on me mummy, get it off" - yes, more diarrhoea & he had no idea he was doing it. It happened twice more so I sat him on the toilet for a while then cleaned him up & went inside to dress him. James had gotten up in the middle of all this so he watched Oscar. After James had breakfast we all went out & fed the pups & played for a bit then came back in & sat down. Oscar was cuddling up to James & looked tired but he had slept in later than normal & doesn't usually get tired until lunchtime. After a while James had to go outside & I picked Oscar up & went to the kitchen & he vomited all over me! He looked so pale & tired the poor little guy. I was hoping he wouldn't get it but he has.

James has gone into town to play football, it's a home game so only in Frances 2km away, and I am upset I am missing the first match but kids come first. He was saying to me earlier that if all the pups aren't gone by the time they are 8 weeks old I will have to drop the price or give them away. I would prefer not to as they are worth the money we want for them & I would rather keep them longer & sell them for more. After he got to footy he rang & said that my cousing just told him he knows someone that is interested in a pup so they might come out after football to have a look! YAY! If they decide to buy one that will be 3 sold & 3 to go. I rang the vets yesterday to find out what time they will be out here on the 30th (they come out to the football oval every 6-12 months & do vaccinations) so I can get a few of the dogs vaccinated & she said "your pups are gorgeous, you always breed great pups & I saw one out of the last litter a few weeks ago & he's a beautiful dog with a perfect nature". She said she is telling everyone about them & said she will vouch for them as she knows we breed good dogs. I was so happy about this and am really pleased that we have made a good reputation for our breeding!

Well, I guess I better get back to it, or maybe I will just surf for a while, LOL!

Oh, and I have gone gold - go figure, I had no idea! HAHA

Hope everyone has a great weekend! xxoo

Re: OMG...it's NOT over!

oh dearthats no good about the kids, hopefully this will be the last day of it.

awwww you got jack russles hehe they are the funniest little things. we have a jack russle x chihuaha and its a lovely dog. growing up we always had jack russles, and the pure bred ones always managed to get themselves killed LOL (once one would get itself killed we'de buy another, then that one would get itslef killed and so on) they love chaseing kangaroos and snakes, and that is how they all died. ben he was a rocket her thought he was a BIG dog in a little dogs body hehe was so cute until he tryed attacking a snakeby the time we found him it was too late. my parents live on a big farm though, which was just too big for such small dogs, (we grew up on a small 5acres but then mum and dad bought 200 acres, 1/2 of it was bush) and mum and dad didn't want to keep her tied up all the time so with the last jack russle they had, dad ended up giveing her away to someone with a smaller property, otherwise she would have just got herself killed aswel. mum and dad havn't had any dogs since. they have 2 cats thoughi love jackrussles they have so much character

Re: OMG...it's NOT over!

All better now, YAY! We had a poop & spew free day yesterday, WOOHOO! LOL!

Oh Jack Russells are fantastic & great fun, they look after the kids so well too! Ours love to chase rabbits, foxes (the male is an avid fox dog) and the odd roo, along with lizards & if they saw one I'm sure a snake. I love having them with the kids cause they keep them safe & away from nasty things like snakes. We are on 22,000 acres here & they all love it!

Re: OMG...it's NOT over!

Hi Cazza, I hope they get better fast too! I am sure the puppies will sell fast - they always do. James went into woolies last night & someone has taken the poster advertising them down & he didn't have one with him so that wouldn't help.

Thanks, I had no idea I had gone gold until Bel told me, LOL!
