Hi, I am Tracy, 37, sahm mom to 2 boys, A is nearly 7 and S is 5 1/2 years old. I have been married to the greatest guy EVER (I know, everyone says this, but it's true, no he's not perfect, but I'm keeping him :) for nearly 8 years and we reside in the Chicago area.
We are in the process , very beginning process, of adopting a sibling group in Kenya.
A- was born 8 weeks early , at 32 weeks,because I developed SEVERE preeclampsia (toxemia)/ eclampsia, he was 3 1/2 lbs and now at nearly 7 yrs old he is over 4 ft tall (I'm not even 5 ft tall) so it won't be long until my firstborn is taller than his momma. He has been diagnosed with Auditory Processing Disorder, the way his brain processes hearing sound, he is very bright, doing well and we are so proud of him. S- was born full term, I found I had a blood clotting disorder when I was pregnant with him so I injected myself twice a day for the duration of my pregnancy and a couple months after with blood thinners. ACK! But the end result was a beautiful full term baby boy .... who is now 5 and thriving in Kindergarten :)
I love to travel, it is my passion, I have been to 6 continents over the past 10 years. September 2007 I did a volunteer trip for 3 weeks to Kenya , with no intentions of adopting, but now part of my heart is in Africa. My husband is British and his family lives in the UK and in Spain so we get there at least once a year to visit.
I also enjoy reading, exercise - staying fit - er, well try to anyway ...
