All I want for Christmas is a full nights sleep.  I promise I'll leave you some cookies and not eat them all myself this time.

    Thank you, Trish.

Well well .....we've survived our first year!

Comment Published at 20:4120:412 comments2 comments101 Visits101 VisitsReport

Congratulations to my little munchkin who's for some miracle managed to survive her 1st year with the most potentially uncapable mommy ever! .  No really .....at times I swear... all my sense flew out the window but we managed.

So what if all you eat some days is Cheerios, cheesies and dog fur....you still have energy and good colour to your skin.

Anyways, now my days are filled with toddler adventures which for me means double the amount of exercise I've ever attempted in my life-time I think.

Mabey now I'll lose that baby weight...LOL.

Strike! Strike! Strike!

To Miss "H",

Now you won't take the "boob" in the morning.....What the hell are you surviving on?   "Dust bunnies" do not have all the vitamins and minerals your body needs!...at least I'm pretty sure.    Mabey there's sugar in "dust bunnies" cause you sure have alot of energy.  If I knew the dog wouldn't eat them first...I'd throw some of those cheerios in the corners of the house and under the couch,  mabey then at least I'd know your getting some iron.

                                           Love Mummy.

Oh crap .....it's happened!

Comment Published at 21:1521:153 comments3 comments126 Visits126 VisitsReport

I didn't want it to ever happen.  I've seen other parents dealing with it and thought ....man..if I can somehow get that not to happen life with a little one would be a piece of cake....really.

Little miss monkey has learned the dreaded word "NO!".

And not just the word "no"....it's allways "NO!" followed with the classic head swing to the side.  It's allways when I'm trying to feed her, and even if it's food she loves and I know she has to be hungry.

Yes I admit it I was becoming a chronic "no" er...I see the err of my ways now that it's too late.God help me now....please

I think I am going to go into denial and blame my hubby...must be something he's taught her while I am at work...yes that's it I know it.

I also have an advid walker/climber on my hands now and we are currently in the transitioning phase from two to one nap a day....it's LOVERLY really....I'm  soooooo exhausted I can barely keep my lids open...uggggghhh.  O well what can ya do... On the other hand, outings are much more fun now that she wants to walk and climb at the park.  She goes and I follow and she picks up the wood bits and tries to eat them and I wrestle them out of those mighty little fists..... like the mean, evil mommy I am.  Muahhaha.

Blog Tag...I'm It!!!

Sorry this is coming so late...

What is my childs favorite book?

Right now ....probably her bath book "Red Fish, Blue Fish"  because she eats all the other ones so we read this one religiously for now.

What is my favorite children's book?

This is easy...I loved the "Sesame street dictionary set" when I was growing up and I found the same set in a consignment store in great condition while I was prego...so I snatched those puppies right up for $5.00 bucks ;)  I can't wait to read them to her when she decides reading books is more fun then eating them :)

What is my childs favorite thing to eat?

Can't get enough Cheerios right now...but she loves plain yogurt too.

What is my favorite thing to eat?

I love grilled salmon teriyaki...and spinach salads.

What is my childs favorite toy?

Hmmmm....she loves any kind of ball right now...but her fav is probably the "Leap Frog Alphabet" magnetic fridge thingy....It is for meant for 2 years and up but she loves the song.

What is my favorite game?

I'm addicted to Texas Hold'em Poker.  I never play for money(unless it's friends), but I love playing it with cards, on the computer, on xbox360....whatever...I told you I'm an addict ;)

Soooooo...now I have to find some peoples to tag...hmmmm...who's left?  I tag Kric, Sistersarah55 and MommyOo05

It really isn't as bad as you would think....

this whole cloth diaper business.  I've looked into it and "dry pailing" them seems to be the best way to go for us.  So far ...so good ..one really messy poop but it stayed contained in the diaper  If the washing goes well then I think I can (stomach) keep this up no probs..we'll see  Hayden's been really fussy today though I hope it's not because of the diapers.  She's started this most dreadfully awful screaming sound and it makes me want to drop whatever I'm doing at the time and give her whatever she wants.....as per her intentions I'm sure.  I'm trying to ignore her because I know there's nothing physically wrong with her but I'm  finding it increasingly difficult

Hiya Evry1!

Comment Published at 07:4707:471 comments1 comments202 Visits202 VisitsReport

Yes yes I'm OK....just been busy busy and more busy.  I've been poppin in and reading my mails and stuff but that's about it.  Thanks for caring MentorMoM.

Actually I've been out shopping alot lately.  I have to go back to work next week...only part-time thank gawd cause I keep having these little panic attacks when I think of leaving Hayden  Anyways...the shopping bit is not fun!  Ya I know your thinking..."What shopping not fun??!!"  well it's not when your trying to make up a new work wardrobe to cover your extra butt (I'm a little tempted to bust out the adjustable maternity pants I tell ya).  But I won'tLOL.

Anyways on the other hand I've recently invested in some Kushies AIO diapers and stuff.  I have been up untill this point a dedicated disposable mommy  So here I am with all this non-disposable gear and I've yet to try it.  It's scary being a "washable diaper" virgin you know!  Who knows what I'm going to encounter....there's all sorts of things that can happen...even if you do have the flushable biodegradeable thingy's.  I plan on still using disposables for outings and nights.  For outings because I am one of those moms that never seem to execute diaper changing with the certain ease and grace others have developed...we're all over the place and it's like my own personal hell for 2 minutes sometimes I tell ya.  For nights because we still wake up half a dozen times a night to breastfeed...enough said there.  Well I'm chalking this last bit up to the snotfest Hayden's been having lately...hopefully it's over soon..poor babe.  I'm in the process of washing before you wear so her cloth time is coming soon.....one question though..Do you need to have this pre-soaking pail thing going on right away?  Should I have the pail ready with the water and vinegar and just keep tossing the diapers in there till I'm ready to wash?  Please don't laugh...I seriously don't know  Okay you can laugh..but just a little...then tell me what to do!

On another happier note...Hayden is well on her way to a walking pro now and I've invested in one of those Monkey Leads for when she starts running cause I can tell I'm allready in trouble when that starts happening  I'm telling you...Hayden has to be the most fearless reckless little human I've ever encountered  I've also realized that corner guards are useless and we are now resorting to adorning our corners we can't remove from the room with duck tape.  It makes for the cutest accents ....I can't wait till everyone comes over so I can show them off.  If I could figure out how to post pics on these damn blogs I'd show you!

We've also encountered another road block (or is it?) on our journey to independent eater.  We will absolutely no longer eat baby cereal...so back off allready.  How the heck are you sapposed to keep shovelling this stuff into their mows till they're 2...ya whatever ....I just hope she's eating enough Cheerios to get her ironAnyways that's my life for the past couple weeks ...exciting isn't it I leave you with these words of wisdom now....

Why does my baby like to eat Fuzz??

Comment Published at 06:4806:4810 comments10 comments756 Visits756 VisitsReport

Ever since Hayden has been able to get around on her own she's been picking anything she can find off my floors and eating it  The first time she truly got a good munch on a fuzzy and gagged while I gingerly tried to remove it from the back of her throat....I thought..."well she probably won't do that again!"  Sadly this isn't the case and she prowls the floor everyday for more and more tasty dust bunnie morsels.  I swear I probably have the cleanest floors in the universe right now but she manages to find something at least once a day, even hair.  Normally I can catch her in the act cause she gets all quiet and I run over and snatch whatever is in her hand before she gets it in her mow  Not today though.  Today she feasted....on a fuzz that stuck to her blanket in the playpen (I'm guessing) while I was in the kitchen...and today......she pukedMabey she will stop now???  Please somebody tell me she will stop now!  O no...gotta go! She's getting all quiet...

Feeling like a Jelly Belly today...

Comment Published at 08:4808:486 comments6 comments341 Visits341 VisitsReport

I woke up today feeling kinda like a big bowl of jello....not eating one but looking like one  I've put on like 20lbs since Hayden was born and it's hanging around like that bad odour that comes from Hayden's diaper pail I've allways ate like a "champ" but was allways on the go before.  Now my one walk a day is not cutting it.  I love my food so I don't want to cut that....guess I've got to go another route.  I'm looking into that Oxycise dvd's that was in First and Women's Day magazines.  It's all about deep breathing and stretching.  Anyone tried this?  It has all these other benefits like helping with asthma and poor posture which I really need help in.  The chiropractors getting expensive now since OHIP(poo) cut out the funding and I will lose my benefits going back to work part time.  Please if you know anything about this Oxycise post a comment good or bad cause I would like to know before I fork over that kinda cash!

On another note...Hayden and I are off to the farmers market!  I love the farmers market but I hate crowds so I avoid it on the weekends but in the summer they are open on Tuesdays too!  Yay!

My baby WALKED today!!!

Comment Published at 20:4720:4714 comments14 comments315 Visits315 VisitsReport
So,  just when I thought I had my house baby proofed Hayden starts climbing and decides "Heck no mommy...you don't get to keep any of your stuff on these tables/shelves/etc/etc" muawwhh".  So I got down on the floor at her level and tried to reason with her.  At 9 1/2 months though she would have none of that.  So I started to bribe her away with Cheerios and she let go of the table and took 3 steps to me!!!!  As with all the new milestones she reaches...I'm happier than a pig in poopy, but now I'm wondering how long it will be till she's off and running
