Wow! Has it ever been a while. I have since recovered from my last pregnancy. It was hard, but i have dealt with it all the best way i could, given the circumstances. My husband has now found out he may be the cause of our dearly departed son's malfunction. He told me if that's the case, him having polycystic kidney disease, he would not have anymore children which is almost as hard as trying again and have the same thing happen as before. I'm not doing too good with it cause i didn't want my daughter to be an only child. But she still has a half sister...and maybe a half brother too. Only time and god know anything about what the future holds.

Now....since i got home from the hospital, my iron levels still are not back to normal and i take iron supplements 4 times a day. I'm also waiting on the autopsy results and the doctors want me to go to a Genetics Clinic before i try to conceive again.

Thank you all for your words of encouragement....i had a little bit hard of a time with this at first but i am getting better everyday. It all came so quickly i didn't really have time to prepare, i knew it could end up like this but nothing really prepares you for that kind of news. It all seemed kind of surreal and false at first....like life seemed strange......too strange to live....took a bit to adjust to.

Well... i got the results back on tuesday and my baby had no kidneys or bladder....i had to terminate the pregnancy. I was only 19 weeks and the doctors had to trick my body into delivering the baby....but my body didn't want to co-operate and i got held in the hospital for 5 days....normally the procedure takes only 1-2 days. I lost a litre and a half of blood and had to have a DNC to get my placenta out (it stuck in my cervix and had to be removed with me under anesthetic). I had delivered a baby boy that died at one hour and twenty-five minutes old. He weighed 250 grams and was 15 centimeters long. He also looked a lot like his dad. He was so tiny, tiniest baby i ever saw....also he was born breech at 1:19 am on January 28, 2007.
