i have fished off that jetty quiet a few times when i was young (oops - younger, i mean).
not sure if i ever caught anything but i remember the walk very well.... it could take forever
It sure very long walk. We went there early morning, so pretty good walk and saw lots of people did fishing. Didn't take the small train though, probably next time.

At first glance I thought these were postcards, They are stunning and the buildings are beautiful. What you call a jetty we call a pier I have a picture of our pier on my homepage.
Now the shire and the state and federal governments are arguing over who should pay to restore and maintain it.
I remember it before much of it was destroyed in a cyclone in 1979 (cyclone Alby I think). Whoops I guess I am showing my age and loosing my memory.
