End of School Year

Comment Published at 20:1920:193 comments3 comments91 Visits91 VisitsReport
Today is my son's end of school year at kindy. Next year he'll be at a big boy school as we told him it would (it's pre-primary, 5 days a week). Would be lots of changing on daily routines for everybody. I'd take my daughter to playgroup, and other activities that I used to do with my son. While my son will be full time at school. I'm still thinking that we did make a good decision on the age different between our children. So no one miss anything, they both have their own times....and their own memories.

School holiday means need more creativities for me as full time mum. 2 children will be in the house for 2 months. I'm sure I'll take them lot to swimming pool and park. On hot summer days, I probably take them to Scitech or just chill out in the house with some activities. We might take out some old toys (wooden thomas tracks)....and for sure go to library. Borrow those books.

Times fly so fast. Feel happy in one side and sad too. Happy cause my kids grow up and I have the feeling of accomplishment on certain stage of bringing up my children to their age stage. Sad....oh well...living those sweet happy little kids memories behind. But then I think again, I suppose those memories will stick to each individual who was there at that time. And those memories will be part of their foundation to grow up and building up their character as a person one day. I just hope my children will be a good grown up.

Oh well...that's what I thought today as part of the end of school year. A little break to upcoming another school year and another and another.......

Happy End of School Year......Merry Christmas....and Happy New Year to all!

I can understand. I can't believe my son is in grade 3 next year. It has gone so quick. His first day of grade one I can still remember, He couldn't wait tell I left. While we where waiting for the teacher he was saying ' Mum you can go now' It was very hard to hear that.

End of School Year

sending your eldest to the big boy school must be both exciting and sad for parents. I can remember when I got teary-eyed when my son was able to use a high-chair in the public restaurants for the first time. I can only imagine what my reaction would be when my son goes to school.

What a milestone this must be for you. But at the same time you must be proud of him!!

Yes...I'm so proud. Feel like I have been passing some parenting test. Specially when I asked his Kindy teachers about him, and they said he did very well at kindy. They might just being nice to me, but no matter what I knew that my son reached my standard to be a good kid.
