I too was ready to give up minti not so long ago, I felt I didn't fit in, it was confusing and well, I just wasn't feeling good about it...I almost deleted my account here...I wrote a lbog and posted it...the response I got was very positive...I decided then to give it another try, to open myself up to minti...so to speak...I am very happy that I did, I have met some really nice people here who are true inspirations, as well, most everyone here is ready to help you at a moments notice, you have something going on and need reassurance this  is the place to be.  They are here for you,  for the good, the bad  and (not sure of the ugly yet.though...lol)...

Just give it another try, you may be surprised by what you find and who you will meet given the chance...

Istarted on minti back in April and am not only a parent but I also have six grandchildren ranging from 24 yrears down to 21 months. Iwasn't keen on going on but my daughter (nell 18 ) suggested I give it a try and I love it. Why not give it another try  before you give up it's such a friendly site and helped my daughter through a very nasty divorce and she even calls it her lifeline.I can't stress how strong she has become since she was helped on minti So just think about it

A pity you feel that way. I noticed that your advice is all rated 4/5 stars and thats good! It does take a bit of time to get to know everyone. I have been here since Feb. and think minti is awesome. It did take an effort at the start, so I visited everyones blogs, answered questions etc. and before long it was all good.  Hope you give minti another chance.

 Sorry you feel that way, i've been on minti since late 2006 and love the site....it takes time to make a network of friends, you just have to take the time to mingle and let people know your out there....that comment also goes for your articles ( it takes time). There is always someone there to help answer questions, give support and advice articles that help on many subjects.

I so hope you give it some time before deciding to leave.

Yeah, people can be confusing and although i'm not sure what exactly has upset you, you need to take it with a pinch of salt.  It seems most of your advice has 4-5 stars which is really good, even if you only reach one person with what you write that makes it worthwhile.  Most people on here are nice and friendly but with everwhere it takes time to build a relationship.......hope you decided to pop back from time to time! 

Hey there, I think you need to give it a bit of time and feel your way around.  What experience have you had on the site that has been bad?  I posted some links to your question about writing advice in the other group, and if you have any questions or gripes, feel free to sound everyone out in IFZ Sensible Souls before you give up on us : )

Excuse me if I sound like I've had no sleep, 'cos I haven't been to bed yet (3:30 am here), but what do you mean by confusing you?

I know that with questions, there can be many opinions and experiences given, but that's what it's meant to be about. 

As for writing advice, yeah, it's tough!  I'm a perfectionist, and don't submit unless I am 110% happy with it.

Minti isn't just about getting and giving advice, it is also supposed to be about sharing our day to day struggles and triumphs as parents.  I'm sorry if you feel we aren't able to meet your needs.
