Treasure Hunt. Party Game or Just for Fun

cheleinkal by cheleinkal Young Parent(August 2006) (rank 107th)
Treasure Hunts You Will Need
Paint
Lots of Paper & Scissors
Chocolate Coins or treat
OR
For older children Make a Map of
your Garden or floor plan of your
home and write clues on the map.

Have the kids dip
their feet on some paint (using an ice cream container lid is good for this) and create foot prints on the paper. (Doing this the day prior to the day of the Hunt may be preferable) The more colourful the better and as many foot prints as you can manage. When paint is dry, cut out the feet individually, then out of site of the kids, place them around your home or garden so as to make a trail. At certain junctures in the garden you may want to add little alternate games such as using your Wishing Well hoop, rope, or pond and make them hop around it on 1 foot before proceeding. This is also a good idea for rooms of your house if you are playing indoors, try the dress-up room, or the dancing room, summersault room etc, at the end have enough goodies for everybody to enjoy (Choc coins are good for this).

treasure hunt
We had a treasure hunt for my little brothers fifth birthday. It was lots of fun , my me and my mom made maps for the kids and we had fun little masks for them to wear and we had little riddles and puzzles for them to solve to get to the end treasure and when they got to the end it was a big treasure box with goodie bags for each kid. My brother is 13 now and his friends still remember that birthday and think it was a great idea.
