1. be patience ,dont expect to much of your kids.

2. decided what you and your family find exceptable then stick to your guns.

3. set limits to what your children have to do.

4. be a model.remenber your child will copy all you do.

5.when

your child is having a tantrum remove them from the scene and try to distract them from the objectif they still continue then emitate them that usually makes them stop mainly from embarracement.lol

6.dont use the words "DONT" and " NO" instead use " DO" and "MAYBE" OR "SOON"

7. Dont give attention to bad behaviour ignore it ,and good behaviour give them praise and lots of attention.

8. deal with bad behaviour straight away.drop what ever you are doing, then longer it goes for the worst it will get.

9.make sure your kids know you love them but you expect good behaviour from them .

10.there is no magic to parenting ,every child is diferent.

Re: DISCIPLINE

No 6 is a bit ''iffy'' with me. Saying maybe can keep things dragging on. That may work sometimes but I think they need to understand NO means NO. Maybe or soon can leave you open.

But I do like the idea of turning the situations ffrom a DONT to a DO.

Re: DISCIPLINE

Hmmm, Saying No is good for children because eventually people they meet as they go into the world will say NO to them and they need to learn that they have to get on with the world, not the other way around.

Re: DISCIPLINE

I think most of these tips are pretty good, however it would pay to write your article in word and use a spell checker before publishing, as there are quite a lot of spelling errors which detract from the content.  Also, sentences should start with a capital letter all the time.

Re: DISCIPLINE

I don't agree with not using the word No. Or ignoring bad behaviour, how are kids ment to learn these things are wrong if we don't pull them up on them.

I also don't understand point 5, are you saying to copy their behaviour? if so, i thought you are saying ignore bad behaviour and to me a tantrum is bad behaviour.

These are just my thoughts
