Baby Led Weaning
The guidelines on when and what you should feed your child as you wean have changed over the years. Now it is recommended you don't start solids til at least 6 months. At this stage runny baby rice may not be suitable especially as they may
have teeth and enjoy putting other things with in their mouth!
Taste is a a wonderful sense to have. Breastmilk (or alternative) should continue to be baby's main food source until at least 12 months age. So baby doesn't need to fill up on solids just yet. I believe its important that a baby weans at their own pace.
Giving your child finger foods and allowing them to experience self feeding early on can help make eating an enjoyable time.
