My Advice:

Hi, I just want to say that my morning sickness lasted all day long and it got so bad I couldn't drive and so couldn't go to work. I found that if I drunk diluted fruit juice or ginger beer, I felt marginally better. As for foods, carbs were best. I was able to eat small amounts of boiled rice and mashed potatos (without milk). Then as my pregnancy progressed I could eat noodles in a cup and pasta.

Obviously, everyone is different, so I'm not saying go out and buy lots of noodles in a cup, as good nutrition is still vital and if you can manage some steamed veggies once in a while, go for it.

Also, there is a product sold in most health stores called 'Wild Mexican Yam', or 'Anna's Yam' that you can rub on your belly and that helps too. (I later learnt that it's good for keeping strech marks at bay too!) If you can't find that, try looking it up on Google.

Hope this helps! And good luck to your friend, I hope the morning sickness doesn't take the joy away of bringing a brand new life into the world!

Re: Morning sickness HELP

Blackmores make a morning sickness tablet from ginger which really helps, but make sure you have some laxatives on hand as it can make you constipated. I also found ginger nut cookies helpful, weak rasberry cordial and toast (no butter or marg). Lots fluids and flat lemonade and salvital if you can keep it down. It gives you a real lift, great for hang overs too!!!! Not that I advocate drinking!

Re: Morning sickness HELP

Candied ginger and boiled potatoes are helping me out presently. Not the best but atleast its better than running to the bathroom every now and then.
