At times when you go away and the whole routine of bed time has been thrown out the window, it becomes a little annoying when you here the screams "I don't wanna go to bed"
What I've found to get them back into a routine is to start
a count down, now i don't mean an actual count to get them to bed like as if it's punishment. Se tthe routine to mention how many more minutes to go to bed time. for example;
At dinner time, let them know that there are 120 miniutes to go until bed time
At bathtime, let them know that there are 60 minutes to go
At reading time, 15 mins,
at cudde time 5 mins
and so then they are more prepared for the time for bed as it doesn't surprise them any more and then they will remember the routine that these things happen in order just before going to bed.
it's just something that i've found helps after going away for holidays where the routine stops.
