Ever had a splitting headache and needed the kids to stop yelling for just  a minute to ahve your panadol?

could try a game like dead logs.

TDead logs can be renamed to anything you like, (and changing the name everynow and then makes it effective too :)

basically you tell them who ever is quiet the longest wins. the prize can be someting simple like a lolly. or if you use a reward chart- whoever can be stil and quiet for 5 mins can have a sticker on their reward chart etc.

this game really only works on younger kids. changing the name when it starts to not work can help. ( wheni was babybsitting it sarted as deadlogs, turned into sneaky soldiers and then quiet kittens. everynoe and then one will get sick of playing sneaky soldiers and ask to play quiet kittens. im sure they would know its the same thing though!)

Great in the car. only works for short periods of time though. but thats all its meant to do! :) even  Game of eye spy can get heated and loud. this will calm them down and give you the peace you need.
