temper tantrums

karleigh by karleigh Standing(November 2008) (rank 500+)

temper tantrums are something that evry kid has once or twice or 50,000 times like my cheeky 2 y/o and ifound ways around my daughters temper tantrums and i would like to share them with everyone because i know how embarrassing it can be when your out and about and

your child starts yelling at you.

If your cheeky tot wants something and you say no and they have a tantrum either walk away or change the subject.

in all my experience i would say changing the subject works the best even if its about nothing. For instance if my 2 y/o starts having a tantrum i point to the wall and say look at that khiara even though there is nothing there they will have a good long look and by the time they realise theres nothing there they have forgotten all about there little tantrum.

If your child is too young to sit in the corner when there misbehaving have them sit on there bed not lay just sit there no tv no nothing and tell them that if they are going to behave they can come back and play but if they want to have tantrums they can lay down and go to sleep this on works well for my daughter as the second i say bed she is very apolegetic[i dont no if thats the right word as she is only 2 but its all sorry mummy for 20 mins!]

lastly [please only use this if your out and about] if there misbehaving in a shopping centre for instance tell them off the bad man that will take them away i use the bad man for my daughter and it really works if she is running away from me all i have to do is say bad man and she is straight back to me. just please dont say bad man near the house because you dont want them not feeling safe in there own house.

I hope this is helpful and if you have any questions feel free to let me no i will answer them
