Wrapping paper ideas this Christmas

kati82 by kati82 Crawling(December 2008) (rank 500+)

Just had a thought for wrapping my presents this year for all my family and friends.

I found in my local newsagents a roll of plain brown paper. I am going to get some paints (that wash off easily of course) and get my children to make red and

green hand and foot prints on the paper and also cut out some potato shapes ; stars and trees etc.

Could also use butchers paper which is available at some bargain shops.

Get a piece of cardboard too and cut it into gift cards for the kids to decorate.

I thought of glitter but this will make way too much mess in the unwrapping part.

I think this will be a reasonable price alternative to the store bought stuff and it will also get the kids involved in the spirit of giving and have some fun too .

I guess it will also give us something to do in the start of the Christmas holidays.

I know my parents would love getting a present wrapped in something the kids made.
