potty Trainning

kresha by kresha In Nappies(December 2008) (rank 500+)

I have been lucky I have 3 girls the oldest went toilet quiet young as i would leave the door open for her to see what i was doing. She walked at 8 mnths going toilet by 1. She is now 7

My second who is just 20 mths

started around 16mths just wonting to do what she sees myself and her sister doing.  So we just place her cover on the seat.  Now she still makes mistakes but is not scared to sit and do her thing.

So if its just you and you are able to leave the door open give it a try.

P.z it works for boys to just get a man to show him how its done my dad has been showing my nephew who lives with them and hes turned to and aims it into the toilet just like his grandad.

It works!! Just remeber dont make then do anything till theyre ready. Make it a game

Re: potty Trainning

It is great that you have found potty training to be such a breeze.  As you can see it is a topic that is very well documented on the site and there are some very interesting articles, many of which are quite comprehensive.  I think it would be great if you could expand a little on how you encouraged your children and whether or not you simply used praise or whether you provided rewards etc.  Have you had any problems and how did you deal with them?
