We all know that it is near impossible to develop a sleep routine in the first few weeks (months???) of your babies life - it is more like survival 101 When they sleep so do you! But as they get older you develop routines and then BANG it all changes again! I have got to a point where my daughter is nearly 12 months and i didnt know if she was getting enough sleep during the day - she would only have 2 naps and one would only be for half an hour and the other from 1-2 hours. But now i have found this guide below and it has just reassured me that all is OK. If you are not sure i hope it is of use for you. (Remember a well rested baby is always easier to settle at nighttime too!!!)
