Ear Pericing

Anonymous Author (August 2006)

Most of my friends suggested while still young so they do not tug.  I did my baby girl at 6months not to young but enough that she does not play with her ears and no real speakable infections.  I now have put hoops on her she is still not

playing with them.

My mum did mine the old barbaric way with a needle sterilised with a match when I was 2 and now I have one hole down from playing with it.  I had to go back years later and get a new one so it did not look silly.

I hope this helps.

****The other bonus if breast feeding you can put them on the breast to calm them down from the shock of it all.

Ear Piercing
My three year old is wanting earings because her big sister has them.  I'm not sure if I'm ready to get hers done yet as I think she may do the ole pull on the earings thing and I really don't think that she will let me treat them like ur supposed too.  So I think I will leave it just a little longer unless of course she keeps on at me about it.   Thanks for the advice. xxxxxxxx

ear piercing
My sisters and i had our ears pierced on our tenth birthdays (of course if we all chose to which we did). i am not sure when exactly i will get my daughter's ears done. I will wait until she asks to get them done. I will make the decision then. i want her to want them done and to be able to take care of her pierced ears.

Great story

oooo- the needle I remember my friends trying to do that to each other. One ended up with a needle stuck half way in her ear and both of them in tears. I think I was 10 when i got mine. I couldnt wait ;-) My mum had hers done for her 40th! Our daughter was a lot younger - maybe 6- I dont remember- it was jsut whenever she asked. Our DS was about 4 when he wanted one. The other DS isnt interested.

Up to you...

I had mine done when I was 8.. My Nana took me.. I wanted to get them done. But my mum said she did not want to sit with me if it hurt she could not handle me crying.. SO Nana took me.. It was a fun day out....

But I would wait and see my step daughter got hers done when she was little kept fiddling with them and they closed over and she had them redone... Now she does crazy things like come home with paper clips in them, and yes even a belly button ring inside here ear.. She has no idea. That ring has stretched the hole a bit.. But I only being the step mother could not say to much, I tried but her mother had said it was ok.. So I just said ok, but it looks funny. Just thougth I'd let you know.   And that was all that was said..  Thankfully I was able to find a nice pair of earrings she likes and now she looks a little less punkish at the age of 10....

ear piercing

I did my daughter's ears  at the age 7 when we could do them together. It gave us another chance to bond together which is really fun since she is my only daughter. We still have fun going shopping for earrings and it's something that we have to share, which I love doing with her. We always match our earrings with our outfit. or sometimes wear matching ones. Love you baby girl.

daughters earings
i decided to wait until my daughter decided i figured they aren't my ears to decide if i want a hole in them they are her's she actually kept nagging and nagging me when she was two for earings so i figured she has decided she wants them so will get them... we weren't allowed as young kids and i desperatly wanted them i was only allowed them at 13 when i paid for them myself so wasn't going to say no as i figured her choice if she wants them her ears!  she had them for three years and found still get weepy here and there but that is due to cheap earings causing it so have gone and brough her jewellery shop pair not long ago and will use this as excuse for chrissy and bday pressies

i had mine done when i was two, but one of the stones from the stuf fell inside my ear as my ear got swollen and the stud was pushe through my ear, so i still have a small blue stone stuck inside my ear. i also beleive if my child asks to have their ears periced i will let them, but i will not do it without theri permission.
