crawling baby's

kells2910 by kells2910 In Nappies(February 2009) (rank 500+)

When your baby is starting to crawl make sure there is nothing around they can hurt them selves on make sure you have

you coffee table edge's covered with the protectors that you can get at any baby store make sure that the floor has been

swept and

moped with disinfectant and make sure you have a nice thick blanket for your baby to move around on and put some soft

toys on the blanket for your baby to play with but remember never leave you baby untended at any time. And make sure there is nothing

small enough for your baby to chock on spend time with your baby and show him or her how to crawl by doing it your self as you are the main

person that your baby pay's attention to so spend as much time you can cause your baby will not always stay a baby they grow up it's the

way to bond with your baby as well enjoy it as long as you can

Re: crawling baby's

Hi there!

From a dad's point of view,,,YOR SPELUNG IS SHOKING!!!!,,,,,,LOL,,,,I am only kidding,,,

My son could crawl faster than lightning and would tackle anything in his path,

You really need to be prepared for when they start crawling as they very often start sooner than you think,

Thanks for sharing

Re: crawling baby's

I agree with other comments, that you should perhaps check your spelling and grammar before publishing an article , to therefore make is easier to read.  Other than that, your advice in general was good, but i think you need to offer reasons as to why you suggest these so as to validate them for the readers.

Re: crawling baby's

I think that if you want to be taken seriously the small effort to use spell checker and to present and format your advice article is well worth it.  The advice is of a good standard, however it isn't substantiated or validated as there are no reasons given for actually doing these things.  Advice should provide information and a benefit to using that information, or a moral etc etc.

Re: crawling baby's

A quick suggestion for you... Try writing your advice in word or another similar program, or using one of the free spell checkers on the internet.  It will make the information much easier to read and it will seem far more credible.  Use capital letters in your title i.e. Crawling Babies etc.  You can go back and edit your article any time you like too - if you choose to.

As for the advice, they are good tips, however it pays to validate your statements... You say to get covers for your table edges; why?  You say to disinfect the floor; why and what with.  Many natural cleaning products are fine, but do you really want your baby to be crawling on chemical cleaners.  Also, they should be building up immunity, so a generally clean floor shoudl be fine.

I hope you don't feel that I am picking your advice apart, I think your ideas are good, however good parenting advice should provide an idea; some sort of validation that shows why it is beneficial etc.  I have added some links that might help you to see what I mean and I hope they help you with your advice articles.

Re: crawling baby's

This is good advice because my son started crawling at 19 weeks and I was unprepared, it like a mad rush to get everything baby proofed in time.
So its a good idea to get prepared and in a routine before they start.
