flat head

Re: flathead
Asked by Melons

Question:

while im here another question. my baby  doesnt like being on her belly for very long at all and now she has a flat head. my sister said maybe when shes sitting it will go

back to normal. will it be too late by then shes only not quite 3 months?

My Advice:
my name is haileysoles and i have 10 years e3xpreience of being a nanny and a childcare workeri also have a 7 month daughter of my own. most baby at 3 months dont like being on there belly but if you keep being persistant and leave her on her tummy for 3-5 minutes a day she will end up

liking it when she gets a little stronger. your sister is right when she starts to sit up her head will  change shape babies heads are consently changing. if you are worried something you can to know is when you put your daughter to bed put her at a different end of the bed or cot changing every 3 days. this will make your daughter sleep on different sides of her head and keep her head moving helping to change her shape.

if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Re: flat head

Hi my first had this problem. I consulted with my doctor and he reassured me that if i get her out of these habits and get her having more tummy time before the fontanel closes too much her head would come back into shape. Surely enough this did happen but i had to lay her in front of the tv with a bright noisy musical cartoon on so she would lift her head and strengthen her neck muscles and once this happened she was quite happy to lay on her belly and play. visual and noise thing at a point where they have to look up works great.
