teething,,,,,

Jessgore by Jessgore Young Parent(August 2006) (rank 4th)

Some one once suggested to me that sweet pickles actually help a teething baby. I laughed when I heard it, but gave it ago. My son sucked it and loved it and did not complain about his teeth for a long time afterwards, at least until the effect wore off..

Depending on what stage of teething your child is at you really need to watch if they bite it.  But my son he sucked it and when he was able started eating them. He loved them and I really have not had any trouble with his teething.

I have no Idea how or why it works. But it did for me. :)

Pickles
Yep it really works, and they get addicted to them! Can't take my son down the pickle aisle when I'm shopping  anymore, he yells out "puckles puckles" until you put them in the trolley!

Going to give that a try

Im going to give that a try also. Anything that will help me with teething, I will do it. Won't know unless you try right?

At what age did you start that with your son? I am wondering, my daughter is 7 months old. That too young still?

interesting

It has worked for all of them, I really have not had any sleepless nights with his teeth.  I buy a jar that just says Sweet Gerkins on the front. I called them pickles because that's what the hubby calls them. Sorry hope that was not to confusing. :) I am nto sure if it can work with any other I would think it would. I just found that Francis enjoyed the sweet ones better.

When he is now 14 months old and has teeth coming in all over the place. When I see he is having problems with his teeth, i'll give him one with his meals, and the effect seems to work well. I wish I could tell you how it worked because even as I write it I still think it is funny that a sweet pickle actually helpped with teething. :)
