I was babysitting my little cousin. In 1 week she totaly changed! 1 day she was playin with my son & daughter I noticed that she kept crawling away from them and finally crawled toward the hall and went to sleep right there in the middle of the floor. So
I picked her up, put her in the bed just thinking she was worn out from playing and placed her in the bed. She slept about an hour, and when she woke up I tried to feed her, she would not eat. I put her on the floor to play. She would not. I then noticed she had a felt warm. I tempt her, she was 103.8. I gave her Tyelonol. 3-4 hrs later I checked her temp again it was 104 degrees. I immediatetly called the doctor. They advised me to give her an alcohol bath and ways to try to get her temp down. Then, while bathing her I noticed little small bumps around her chest area and around her mouth.
To make an even longer story short, we took her to the hospital, at first they said it was Rosela, then finally sayingmshe had Strep throat resulting to her breaking out with Scarlet fever. I ignored all the warning signs, the change in behavior, just thinking it was regular toddler behavior; not wanting to eat, eating then spitting food out, not wanting to play or be bothered with, and I learned a valuable lesson and hopefully it will help someone else.
