To Immunise or not to immunise

Re: immunistaion the traditional or homepathic way?
Asked by milliemoo

Question:

I would like to know if any other mothers have chosen to immunise their child the 'natural' way, thorugh homeopathy.

I was all for immunisation and had my daughter immunised with

her first round of jabs in January. She had a severe reaction to the rota-virus where she went very floppy, threw up mucusy sick and had diohrea a few hours after the jab. Her nose still has a yellow tinge and she is reverted to pooing in the night and at least 4/5 a day, bearing in mind this is over a month ago. She is due to have a next round in a week or so and am very concerned that she has had irriversible damage to her gut and quite possibly is more dangerous to immunise again. We have seeked advice and treatment from a well established homeopath and are researching our options. Has any one else experienced this and have any advice for me?

My Advice:  This is areally tricky situation you are in and I totally understand where you are coming from.  Here is the truth...  you can't PROVE that the reaction your baby has was from the immunisation...  The Doctor's can't PROVE that it wasn't.  Please keep in mind while I right this my children ARE immunised, however I will state the facts on both sides.  Firstly you need to trust your instincts are far as I am concerned.  Secondly,

if you look back in history and see when immunusations were introduced to us for specific diseases the death reate, and the rate of infection was already dropping naturally in most cases, so studies showing that immunisation actually help to control an outbreak of anything is still a bit iffy.  Would these diseases have wiped themselves out over time... We don't know.  Since immunisations have been introduced cancer has significantly risen, however... once again you can't PROVE a direct link.

The choice you make is yours.  I don't think anyone should judge people for making a decision that they feel is right for THEIR child.  Often people immunise their children just to conform with society.  Do not just conform with society, do some research and make an informed decision.  Oh... and always check out any facts and figures you find in webs sites as best  you can.

These are the questions you need to ask yourself.

Do the risks of the immunisations out weight the risks of not having them?

Do you trust that homeopathy WILL work for you, and will you blame yourself if your child dos catch something?

Do you want to deal with your child being excluded from things such as day care etc.???

I hope this helps a little.

Definitely trust your instincts. Be informed.

In Australia children cannot be excluded from childcare of school if not fully immunised . They will only be excluded if there is an outbreak.

Re: To Immunise or not to immunise

This can be a hot topic. I here lots of different opions on immunising your children from my group of friends alone.

I think that at the end of the day you do need to way up the pro's and cons. It can cause a limiting factor if you don't immunise,,,,being excluded from daycare facilities etc.

As far as doing some research first,,,,well I remember doing some research before we immunised our son and it only confused me more,,,,there is so much conflicting info out there,,,,,I noticed that there was not a huge amount of 100% proven theories  to say that immunising is harmful,,,so we ended up immunising,,,

Thanks for the article

Lim :)

Re: To Immunise or not to immunise

While the choice remains up to the parent, it can affect the child's ability to participate in day care, kindergarten and school in the future... There are so many factors that come in to play with this decision.
