Wasp, Bee, Green Ant, Bull Ant Stings

larustyka by larustyka Standing(February 2009) (rank 500+)

This is just a small piece of advice but I promise you, very hany to have. If you or your child is stung by a wasp, bee, green ant or bull ant and you have nothing on hand to take the pain away there is something you can use that

you nearly always have  in the kitchen.

Slice an onion in half and put it on the sting. I can not tell you why it works it is a passed on piece of infomation but it is quite honestly amazing and takes the pain right away. I have used the onion on myself with a bee sting and for my kids with green ant and bull ant stings. We havin't had a wasp sting in our house so I am yet to try the onion on that.....

It really doesn't smell great but it is a wonderful help for yourself and your children if you are stuck with no medical creams.

Good luck and please try, it it really is wonderful.

Thanks, Rusty

Re: Wasp, Bee, Green Ant, Bull Ant Stings

excellent advice . i wasnt aware about stings but i believe it.

my mum would crush onion and add salt like a paste and would wrap it up on a sprain like ankle  it always worked

just like you say it stinks but by morning ankle would be much better !

thanks for reminding me of this home cure. ive hurt my ankle and knee and ive been in pain for the last 2 weeks (i slipped down the last flight of stairs at home . i have carpet and i usually wear slippers downstairs. i had socks on and they were slippery with the carpet)  anyway ive been meaning to go to the doctors . i will go and have mri but no harm done in doing the onion remedy

oh and also with a bee sting the sting needs to be taken out if its still on your skin. ive also heard that honey is suppose to help a bee sting. i guess that makes sense since a bee is the one that produces the honey!!!

wd40.... I wonder how people work out all these crazy things out... for one what possessed someone to cut an onion and put it on a bite in the first place? And I wonder who was the first person to get bitten and spray wd40 on on the bite....

Crazy world, but thank goodness for the people that try these things and come up with things that really work....

Thanks for your comment xxxxxxx

Re: Wasp, Bee, Green Ant, Bull Ant Stings

It is awful when they get stung isn't it...... I have been meaning to write this for ages but the kids have been sick and my partner was away and I seemed to run out of time for minti along the way...... sorry...xxxxxx..... It is a fab treatment you will love the fast effect next time it happens. I honestly couldn't believe it with my bee bite, everytime I took the onion off the bite it would kill then as soon as I put it back on again the pain would go away.... I don't remember bee stings hurting so much as a kid... I must have been tougher then...

Thanks for your comment....xxxxxxxxx
