Re: flying with one year old on small plane
anonymous

Question:

we will be flying for the first time with our one year old on a 50 passenger plane and have no idea what to expect. ;)

we would love to hear any

tricks or advice that may be out there.

My Advice: Hi,  Oh mt Gosh, only a 50 seater plane.  You are lucky as take off & landing is very short.  Just take a drink for your babe, plus nappies, change of clothes etc.  Will Bub be in an airline bassinet?  Main thing is that taking off & landing, your ears tend to block, that's where the drink will help.  I never had any trouble on smaller planes with this problem.  It was on the Jumbo's.  We did a flight from U.K. via Bombay, Singapore & finally Brisbane in Australia.  Our daughter was only just under 9 months old & with the long take off & landing, she was wonderful, no crying or waking up.

Just remember the Flight Attendents are soooooo helpful to parents with young children.

Don't be nervous as this rubs off on Bubs, try & relax o.k.,  I know it's easier said than done.

Don't whether you are interested but I've been on a 4 seater,  20 seater & then a 12 seater plane with the door open by the pilot side cruising down the runway & I'm thinking to myself, "Oh My God", when he turned around on the runway & finally closed his door!  I was sooooooooooooo worried as I had my youngest  son with me & we were only going from Tasmania to Melbourne Australia.

Please et me know how you go.

krys x

Re: Flying with a 1 year old child.

hii

some time it gets really hard to travel with young kids. as we had a very bad experience while flying, there was another couple who were flying with a small kid and he used to wake up every 10 min and cry aloud and that use to distrub my daughter and she used to cry to and other passengers had a terrible time, thank god it was only 2 hour flight but that 2 hours were really bad.

make sure ur baby is in good mood and comfortable. and keep the toys with u which ur kids like that will help in calming them down

takecare and have a pleasent flight
