Babywearing Dads

mcm by mcm Young Parent(March 2009) (rank 2nd)

I am not a Dad but my husband is! He often carried our babies in arms (that is, without a carrier) rather than fuss with the pram. He carried our third child in the Ergo when we would go on outings. He also had a Bear Hugs stretchy pouch. I

bought one for him when I bought myself one. They are different sizes to fit individual carers. I had a Medium and he had an XL. Most average size men would use Medium to Large but we are bigger people!

When we had our forth child, my husband was quite excited to use his pouch again. Unfortunately he lost it. Unhappily he accepted a new one. This time, a non stretchy pouch from Jazslings. But now he is using it he prefers it to the Ergo. He likes that its compact, convenient and easy. It allows him opportunity to cuddle and bond with our youngest, even while doing other things such as spending time with our older children or doing the dishes. :)

Re: Babywearing Dads

i'm very impressed that babywearing dad is wearing the baby that often and that he's doing the dishes while wearing the baby . he's worth a million bucks.  i'm way past the baby carrier days and when i see babies being carried this way i get a little envious that they didn't exist when my kids were little.
