Babysitting 101

Prosper by Prosper In Nappies(April 2009) (rank 500+)

Re: Re: Babysitting
Asked by Littlemiss

Question:

Ok, on the 18th Of April I will be babysitting 3 kids, 7-4...What do I do? How do I entertain them?lol. Never been around kids, don't have any of my own yet! please help

My Advice:

It depends on the ages of the children.

If they are toddlers coloring , finger paints and puzzles seem to work.

For older childrent hough more challenging things seems to help out a lot more.

Such as board games or games you all make up.

Kids are easy to entertain.

If you have the internet just google childrens games and pages should pop up with different advice for different games.

The ones i prefer for the older kids are learning games such a s math or spelling bees.

Re: Babysitting 101

That can be tricky, depending on how far apart they are in age.  My advice would be to give them space.  You don't want to have to try and keep up with them in a small area.

Parks are a good way for kids to run and play, swing, slide and go on little adventures (and it's free).  Also, a trip to the zoo (go early!) is also a great way to start the day.  If the weather is bad, go to an aquarium or a mall.  But definitely give them lots of opportunities to burn some physical energy.

If you can't leave the house, take out some pots and pans and turn on some music and have some dance time.
