Fussy eaters?

Merlotmandy by Merlotmandy Speaking(August 2006) (rank 244th)
NEVER make mealtimes a battleground by pushing them to eat what they will not even try, but DO insist they stay at the table for as long as everyone who is eating.  Give fussy eaters whatever they will eat and have bowls/plates on the table of what they won't eat.
As they see others serving themselves they will want to join in. Before they realise they will be eating lots of different foods that they previously refused. They will also enjoy mealtimes more,  making it more pleasant for everyone.

Fussy Eaters
one of our rules is that you must stay at the table until everyone finishes. We encourage the kids to atleast try what is on their plate. i try to make things that all the kids like (as much as possible). If i know that my daughter doesn't like peas, then i make sure that there are raw carrots too which are her favorite. This is usually with veggies and fruit. I don't make different meals but i want to make sure that the kids are eating enough fruit and veggies. There is always some variety. my daughter likes dip with everything (the dip of the month is italian dressing).
