Cola:

Cleaning

Wet a cleaning rag with cola and use it to wipe fingerprints and grim off of stainless steel appliances.

Soak a sponge in cola and use it to clean off your cars wind screen. Or more fun, shake it up and spray on

Other neat tricks

Freshen a stinky lunch box by soaking a sponge or piece of bread in vinegar and leaving it over night in the closed lunch box.

Clean the microwave by boiling ¼ cup vinegar in 1 cup of water in a bowl in the microwave. The steam loosens the cooked on gunk and the vinegar deodorizes.

Add 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water in a sealable garbage can to throw cloth diapers into. When it’s wash time just upend the container into the washing machine. The vinegar helps get rid of bacteria and keeps the diapers from holding bad smells.

Wash out thermoses and Tupperware with baking soda and water to get rid of smells.

Re: Unusual Uses for Everyday Items

I have tried the vinegar on a really bad sunburn when I was younger and I can tell you it really works it takes a majority of the heat out of your skin you smell like fish and chips but you don't mind that when you just want some relief.

Lots of neat tricks there that I've never personally tried. I was reading a medical magazine this morning and the specialist recommended putting ice on your throat to cure hiccups! Thanks for sharing and welcome back I haven't seen you in a while xx
