i think it is very important, for parents to do what they have said they are going to do, or dont say it in the 1st place !

your kids need to know that ,what Mum or Dad says... Goes!

I agree at some level. It is important to teach kids the meaning of integrity. However, I don't fully agree with your second statement that whatever the parents say goes. It's a little authoritarian. As parents we have to learn balance - we know best for our kids, but we also have to listen to them and take what they say into account. It teaches them self-confidence and self-esteem.

A good statement; perhaps you could turn it into an advice article by providing further explanation and examples to demonstrate the benefits of what you have stated and further substantiate your claim by providing examples.  Actions speak louder than words at any rate.

i totally agree. i have seen first hand parents threaten there children " im not taking you to the movies if you don't finish there dinner" then when they dont finish. they still go to the movies. thats just an example. you gotta stick to you guns.
