Diaper brands

Sandy8rn by Sandy8rn Walking(August 2006) (rank 500+)
I've tried every diaper brand under the sun over this past year!

Diaper expenses can really add up....as a parent on a budget, sometimes I'm guilty of thinking at times "she's really not THAT wet, right?"
It's crazy how some diapers can be so much expensive
than others.  As a neontal nurse working in the hospital setting, we use the best of the best brands, but I don't have to pay for them.  At home,  we don't have the same budget as the hospital corporations in the U.S.  So I started out using some of the most pricey and luxurious diapers- Pampers swaddlers and Huggies Supreme.    I only purchased that if I had a great coupon for savings, or if they were on sale.  But through the year, I've tried many alternatives- Kirkland (costco), Parent's choice, Target, WhiteCloud, K-mart brand, etc.....I know that diaper quality can vary based on the child, and often the sex of the child.  But so far, I've found that the Best value for the Diaper has been Parent's Choice and Target.  They are both very comfy, soft and leak-free,..and best of all, about $.05 cents less per diaper, if not more at times!  Over time, this adds up big.  I found that the Parent's choice is most similar to the regular Pampers diapers, and the Target brand (what I use now) is most like regular Huggies.

The Target and Parents choice brand wipes are also amazing!  And far less in price.  They are both very gentle and durable wipes.

If anyone else has some great diaper tips, LET ME KNOW!!! I'm always on the look out for some money-saving tips! :)

Thanks

nappies..
in australia we have babylove, which are heaps cheaper than huggies, but work just as good, and sometimes they even fit better! i use the plain old coles brand wipes because i find that the huggies ones are too wet. the coles brand ones are just as good as johnson and johnson but much cheaper. my son rarely ever gets nappy rash.

Pampers lover...

I am a pampers lover... The baby dries are great for the nights they really do keep his butt dry... And the cruesers are great for the running around.. Nice and flexable...

It is good advice, what I did though was sign up to a lot of baby web sites and diaper sites... I got lots of samples and in the end found that the pampers for my son kept away the diaper rash.... And what ever keeps away the nappy rash, keeps baby and mummy happy... They are a bit expencive but as my hubby says what ever keeps his butt happy keeps us happy...

$$$$
Diapers aren't  cheap at all. I usually buy the big box of diapers and wipes as it is a  little  cheaper and you get more. I shop at our Wal-mart to get them. So much cheaper there than anywhere else where I live. I buy Parent's choice diaper's and wipes too. The are very good brand.  Or at other times I buy Pamper's, they only price difference was about .05 cents for them, than plus a coupon. So that was a little cheaper.

good advice

i use huggies(the normal ones) and i have used the huggies surpreme's. i go to costco and it's alot cheaper. i do agree, i use the parents choice wipes, they work just as good as huggies, or pampers. i use coupon's when i get them, just to make it a little cheaper. i wish we had a target here in canada but we don't.

good advice!
