yummy-mummy by yummy-mummy Speaking(September 2006) (rank 293rd)

im 35 weeks pregnant and everytime the baby kicks it hurts...and cant get much sleep because of this...most people have told me that a when a baby kicks its the most amazing feeling in the world..but im starting to wonder.i mean its not gonna make me hate the baby i

was just wondering is it really common for it to hurt when she/he kicks

hiya i know how you feel ,my 2nd child was 17days late so she spent most of this time upside down with her feet up under my ribs it hurt so much ,i just had to think what it must have been like 4 her,all squshed up inside me , i would rub her feet to try an ease her into moving.  you just have to try get you both thruogh it ,your baby will be here soon and you will forget all about it. ;~)

It all depends
I think it depends where baby kicks you if it hurts or not.  There were definitely some places that I was not happy to be kicked, especially from the inside!  I don't know that you'll forget all about it - it's not like birth gives you amnesia - but at least you know it will go away!

Kicking

Apart from baby's feet under my ribs I found it the most enjoyable feeling. My 2 children found it funny when during my 3rd pregnancy my belly would get distorted when bubs' foot would kick and push my belly out.

I do agree it can get painful at times especially when its happening regularly but i always felt so much better when bubs was moving around.

Take it easy and congatulations

keep smiling

ouch!

i remember the ol' rib rubbing  lol. like constantly for about 6 weeks lol.

it does get better. my sister just had hers ( 4 weeks early too and NO stitches i might add!) and was scared and sore before hand. three hours after the birth she said it wasnt as bad as she had thought, and she couldnt remeber the kicking, just excited she had lost her belly and had a healthy baby :)
