My eldest daughter has the most tangle-prone hair, and ever since she has had enough to need brushing, hair brushing has been one big battle! We even had to cut it all off when she started school, as she just would not let me detangle it before school each and
every day. And it's not even like I could cheat, as some of my friends do - if you skip even one day, even with it neatly plaited, you really have a problem on your hands!
We have tried every type of brush, and Afro combs. Until recently, the only things I found that helped was spray-and-leave-in conditioner, and to plait her hair before bedtime. But then just before Christmas another parent at school told me about a new product on the market "not cheap mind you, but definitely worth it". And she was SO right. So this is just a short piece of advice which I'm writing because I'm so impressed with the product and know there must be so many other parents out there struggling with hair-time battles. I am in no way connected with selling this product, no commission, nothing. Just an impressed parent!
The inventor, Shaun P "realised there was a calling for a new detangling hair tool that didn’t fight or lock in tangles. The answer was in specifically spaced and designed teeth. Teeth that flexed over tangles without pulling or snagging."
The amazing little brush is called Tangle Teezer. And it really does do what Shaun P says! It comes in three main models - a basic Original, a Compact handbag model and I see a newly launched Flowerpot version (aimed at getting little girls to brush their own tangles out!). In the shop I bought mine, there was just one colour - PINK - which is a colour my two detest. On the website however there are quite a few colours, so I hope it wont be long before we can chose a nicer coloured one LOL!
Hair brushing time is now a pleasure. I can't believe it after all these years of tugging, threatening, and tears, we now really do glide over the tangles and they're gone! The inventor is a hairdresser himself, and went on the British TV programme Dragons Den trying to get investors. The Dragons weren't interested, but the publicity obviously helped, and it is currently the best selling hairbrush int he UK. It is now being launched glocally, so if it isn't in a store near you, hopefully it soon will be!
Happy brushing!
