Portable Toys - Crayola Mess Free Color Wonder

KileeGiles by KileeGiles Talking Back(September 2006) (rank 252nd)
It is always difficult to decide what to take out and about to ensure full entertainment value for our daughter.  Today is a perfect example - a lunch for Father's Day to celebrate Mia's dad and of course my dad.  We had settled on a new brewery that has recently
opened in the Swan Valley, now Mia is as well behaved as can be expected when dining out but it is hard to expect a 2 year old to last through a couple of hours of lunch with nothing but conversation to entertain her.

I packed a number of things for Mia to play with including a book, some animals and my personal favourite the Crayola Mess Free Color Wonder Finger Painting.

I was introduced to this magic toy some time ago by a friend of mine and recently purchased some for Mia.

It is finger painting that uses a "colourless system that is invisible on most household surfaces".  The paint comes in 6 colours but it is clear paint.  You must have the special paper that goes with it otherwise it doesn't work.  You rub your fingers into the paint and then onto the paper, the colour slowly appears kind of like magic.  Not only did it keep Mia entertained at lunch but her Aunt and Pop were also equally inspired to do their own artwork.  You can purchase just the blank paper or there is also a range of activity / colouring in books available depending on the age of your child.

I have only ever seen it available at Toys R Us but that's not to say it isn't available elsewhere.  Cost approx $15 per pack of paint and paper.

It is the perfect portable toy, no mess, creative and compact.

Also try i think its called 'colour explosion' also by crayola very similar in the way it dont mark surfaces  but rather than being on white paper, the paper is black and when u draw on it there is fluro bursts of colour underneath. We have now tried all the mess free crayola products, paints and textas.  Mia loves them and so do we.  You can get the products from Target as well as Toys R Us.

I've seen this too. But when I was reading everythying on the package, it says that it may leave a sort of clear film on fabrics and carpet. Have you had any problem like this? I've been eyeing this too for my son.

I havent had any problems with stains or films with the markers, the only thing with the paints is that they can get goopy .. which I can see leaving a film, I just make sure the kids use those at the kitchen table

messless colouring
We have both the paints and the markers, my kids love them, and me too ... no more stains or clothes, carpets, little hands etc. I bought the markers and pad at Wal-mart for around 10 dollars and the paints and pad at Zellers for around the same price. The only drawback I have found is the paper. They dont put enough in the package so that you have to go buy replacement paper as they dont work on regular paper, which can become costly, but worth it!

I bought my son a similar product which is pens.

They are colourless pens and it had its own colouring book.

I bought it for the day he had to what at hospital for a dental surgery.  Dad ended up forgetting it.

I had my own appointment away from home.

Perfect for places where you don't want a mess.

O

Mess free

Finally the toy compaines are listening to parents.LOL  We all want our kids to be creative, but as parents we don't want the mess. My kids love the Color Wonder Markers! Even my youngest can get in on the fun. I love it too.I agree, it is such a great travelling toy too.  I haven't yet to find the paint one yet, but hopefully I will.
