Re: Finding an original baby name
I think it is a very nice idea, and it is important that you choose a name anyway that suits you, and a name that you want to hear over and over again for the rest of your childs life.  Most names actually have great meanings, and some people like to name their child after someone  - whether they know them or whether they are just someone they admire.

There is no right or wrong, and it is really nice that you have provided this site, it is far more interesting than the ones we looked at briefly when we were looking to name Jayden.  (It means 'god has heard' incidentally, and this had little to do with our choice - though I think it is nice).

cousin
i have a cousin who has a very unusual name, her name is Mishayla paige, i used her middle name to give my youngest her middle name, if that makes sense, i love the name mishayla i've heard of others named mikayla but never that, so there's another name if you are looking for an unusual girls name, i'm not sure what it means or how my auntie came up with it but it is a very pretty name

biblical baby names

the meaning of our childrens names are importanto us. Liam means resolute protector, and matthew 9his middle name) mean gift from God. there is a website we used, where you could type in the meaning, say 'biblical' or 'god' and choose some other factors including gender, and it would display all the results, name, gender, meaning, any famous people, where it came from, the lot. unfortunately i cant remember the name of the site, but if you search for biblical baby names your bound to find it on the first page.

bible names also
i do not really see the point of that sight, is there a sight perhaps that you can put in a name and then the meaning of the name will come up, most of my childrens names are from the bible, i think its good to give your child a name with a good meaning
