Natural teething remedies

belabean by belabean Crawling(March 2006) (rank 500+)
My son had all his teeth before he was 18 months.  They came one right after another & sometimes more than one at a time.  We didn't like giving him allot of medication for various reason so we literally tried everything.  One thing that really worked for him was
ice.  We started with those plastic teethers that you put in the fridge & he loved them & as soon as they would get room temp he would start geting anious again.  I them started putting carrotts in the freezer & he would 'chew' on these & they seemed to really help.  You do have to keep an eye on them with the carrott  though you don't want them to actually get a real bite off of one.  We used pedialite popsicles as well.   ANother thing I put in the freezer was those teething  biscuits..   When he got a little older he liked to just suck on ice.
there is also a tablet you can purchse that dissolves in their mouth in most infant sections.  I have heard these really work but never tried them myself only because the ice worked so well for us.
Good Luck & be Patient!!

hyland's teething tablets
theses work great.

also the mesh feeders with hardish fruit work as well. like mangos, pineapples, things they can gnaw on.

Frozen Peas
Our boy loves frozen pees. I will try the frozen carrot sticks :)

I tried the ice and he mainly just pushed it around his tray and played with the water that had melted.
