Frozen Fruit for teething

matthew by matthew Minti Founder(February 2006) (rank 38th)
When your toddler is going through teething pains consider freezing bags of chopped up fruit, or freezing pieces in an iceblock tray.  Give these to your toddler when their teeth are hurting and it will give them relief plus they will be eating something good for them. Watch out for
possible allergies if you child has not had that particular type of fruit before — especially strawberries — other potential fruits include melon, peaches, apricots and blueberries (messy).

Frozen fruit

Great idea. This helps with numbing of the gums, and gives the child the nutrutional value on the other hand. Great thinkin.

A bit messy.
I've never tried frozen fruit myself, but it sounds good, though I can see that it may be messy. It will be good to give to baby while in a high chair to limit the mess. Also, make sure that the fruit chunk is big enough that it can't just fit into baby's mouth and become a choking hazard.

Bonjela Teething Gel
We use bonjela teething gel mainly when our bub is teething. This seems to really work well. For some reason Codi didn't like the cold items from the fridge/freezer. Good advice though, as every baby is different and I am sure it will help a lot of parents! :)

frozen fruit wrapped in guage
another idea is to wrap the fruit up in guage, helps to contain them. In the US, they sell teething fruit holders just for this purpose. Picked up a few for the next baby.
