Getting a toddler to eat |
 |

Feeding my son is often a struggle. He would like to eat fruit and bread all day long. Perhaps with some crackers in between.
Since I am obsessed as are most parents with him eating a diverse diet, I am always pulling my hair out when he'll eat avocado

or sweet potato just fine one week and then refuse it entirely the next.
Yesterday I busted out the cookie cutters, and star-shaped sweet potato was such a hit, I'm ready to go buy up a Martha Stewart-sized collection of cookie cutters.
How to make them:
- Wash your sweet potato and cut 1/8 inch slices so that you have circles of raw sweet potato.
- Place slices in a microwaveable container and cover with water.
- Heat four minutes in the microwave.
- Remove slices from water and place on cutting board.
- Use small cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
When you serve your child, announce the name of the shape instead of the food. "Look, it's stars!"
Let me know how it goes!
