tangled hair

hippiechick by hippiechick Speaking(September 2006) (rank 329th)
Hi I am a mother of  three girls, all of which have long or curly hair.I thought I'd share a little tip with anyone else who may have this same problem. Every morning I would get up and proceed to comb my daughters hair and every time the screaming would
start or the crying. For my younger daughters 4 yrs. and 2 yrs. we started a game by them saying "knots go away" "knots go away" every time I was going to brush. It makes them feel somewhat of control in the situation like they are saying a magic word to control the pain. My smallest one ( the 2 Year old) prefers to say puppies or kitties. Hey it may sound funny or ridiculous but I found it works for my girls. Whatever stops the screaming and crying makes my morning start off to a much better day.Of course I also use a good conditioner when it's time to wash there hair.

Have your say!

I say the best way to get those horrible knots out without a fight is to let them play with  a wee bit of conditiober in the bath n a brush, make it a game and they will get them out all by themselves
