Immunisation

Anonymous Author (October 2006)
I think immunisation  is the best. My daughter has had all her needles up to date and has been rarely sick. A friend of mine never had her children immunised and they're always sick as dogs. I gave my daughter all her needles, not because of the money you
get from it, but to keep away the diseases she might contract while growing up and even when she is an adult. I'm not forcing you to have your children immunised, but i think it's for the best, as i think they will grow up healthier and will get less sick.

Re: Immunisation

I'd have to disagree, even though i have had my kids done they have had their fair share of illnesses.  I know about three or so friends who have not immunised and their kids haven't been any more sicker than mine.  They say the immunisations have changed in regard to the mercury and other heavy metals the used in them to bind or whatever but merging three or so immunisations at once is still fairly new, and they don't know what long term effects they will have.

Re: Immunisation

Where do we start with this, rather than telling how my un-vaccinated daughter has never been sick (which is true) have a look at vaccinations themselves.

Where did autism, SIDS and all these allergies come from?  Would you inject yourself with aluminium, mercury and  formaldehyde?  We try and avoid aluminium pots yet we inject aluminium into our kids.  Have a look what is actually in a vaccine.

Some things to think about, sorry if this is coming off harsh

Get it done

Parents that dont get their children their shots are risking more than what they think. Ask a elder what polio was like before the shot , or rubella, german measels or any of the othe childhood illnesses that killed or crippled thousands of children. Look at 3rd world countries that dont have the meds for their children and ask a mother of a child that cant walk because of polio if she would have liked a shot for her child that would have saved the child from this illness. And you chose not to protect your child just because it might make them fell ill for a few days or some nut says its not right to give shots to our kids. Lets bring back polio that would be nice. Protect the kids they are the future

My boy
My boy suffers from eczema which I believe was triggered by innoculations.
So I have chosen not to immunise my baby yet.
People say you don't want to deal with a fatal disease, but I wouldn't want anyone to go through what we and my boy have gone through.

Even the Homopathic Society recommend children have the Immunisation shots

A friend of mine has done it homopathicly and I believe you have to keep it up.  So again she would not receive payment from the government and be out of pocket for the medication.

Nowadays there are much less side effects then yesteryear.  Most of the needles my son hardly got a temp.  Mind you I kept on top of him when he did.

A friend recommend me to make the appointment as early as you can in the morning.  Dose the child with panadol before the needle and there after.  That way most of it will come to it's ugly head during daylight hours.  We were lucky no bad temps.

Would you want your child to die of a disease that is preventable?  I surely would not.  Now there is a needle for Minigacochal (most probably spelt wrong)  this is not free but what is the value of a childs life $400.00  is minimal if they don't have to go through this horrible ordeal.  This one is on my shopping list.

My same friend had said the parents that don't immunise there children are glad that we do ours as there is less chance of disease.

The non immunised children are not able to attend childcare centres or family day care.  However they are allowed to go to our schools.

That needle became free here in Quebec just before my son was due to get the immunisation for it...

Re: Even the Homopathic Society recommend children have the Immunisation shots

This is exactly the sort of misinformation that leads parent to make decisions out of fear.  Your child cannot be denied a place in any child care centre or school in Australia, and in the U.S.A. there are only a few states that make it hard but ultimately you don't need to vaccinate to attend anywhere...

As a parent that doesn't vaccinate I am actually sad at what your child has gone through and the potential health issues you may have set them up for; and I wish your children were not vaccinated.  I only wish you had chosen to build up your child's immune system for then there would be less risk for all of disease.

Dosing your child up on Panadol!!!!!!!!!!!!!, I cringe at the thought of your child's liver function!!

Why would you want to potentially give your child a disease that is preventable?  Autism, Guillian-Barre, SIDS, any auto-immune disorder........

I may have overstepped here but please take a fresh look at the evidence all around you

Never got any money here either. Had to pay money out to get the shots. We are required to have these shots done in USA .... Children can not attend school if not ............

You said " I gave my daughter all her needles, not because of the money you get from it, but to keep away the diseases she might contract while growing up and even when she is an adult,"

What money did you get from having your child immunised???  They were not test drugs were they? Sorry but I have never heard anyone being paid to be immunised just curious....

Immunisation
You do get some sort of bonus for having your kids immunised, but I think you have to be up to date and apply by a certain time,  my kids always got sick when they were due for their shots so I was always late so I never got any money.  I don't judge people that don't have their kids immunised, I have done it because I would never forgive myself if they did get something that could of been prevented

I don't think I would be keen on having a family anywhere else. Family is actually important to the Govt (though they can always do better!)

Immunisation
I meant to add, my kids never got sick, but when pre-school came along they were always getting some sort of sickness,  immunisation has nothing to do with how healthy your kids are.

Re: Immunisation

you do not need to adhere to Australia vaccine schedule to recieve the Maternity Immunisation Allowance.

Complete the form at

http://www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/public/files/ma_conscientious_objection_form.pdf

and post it in or take it to a medicare or family assistance office to claim the payment

all the best
