Potty

Marlena by Marlena Young Parent(October 2006) (rank 12th)
My son is starting to show signs of wanting to use the potty so I brought out the potty we bought for him awhile back.  What my boyfriend and I noticed is that when he sits on it it tips forward and it causes him to dislike the potty and
he becomes a bit scared to sit down in case he might fall.  What my advice to you is when you are purchasing the potty is to make sure it sturdy enough for you child.  The pottys taht are made to look like a realy towlet are not very good because they are thicker on the top then the bottom like a regular towlet, which is ok  because it is cemented to the floor.  Since my son doesn't like old potty we bought him, we went out and bought him a new one.  This potty doesn't tip and it somes with sound.  It has the handle to flush and tolet paper roll that spins and it makes music.  It sings really cute encouraging songs.  It says up and down/open and close when you lift the towlet seat, which is good for the boys for when they get older there are gonna have to put the seat down for mom.  Here is a picture of the potty for you all.  Happy potty training to you all.

Potty
Miss Cheeky chops has two pottys and hates them both.
One is the regular one - I think she feels to low to the ground as she is a tall girl. The second one is made by Huggies and is the toilet bowl shaped one like mentioned in the article - she hates it as she is always tipping over in in :(
I guess we will keep plugging away - I really didn't want a fancy one.

My son would have loved that, he refused the potty so of course training him took so much longer, I have never seen one like that, its probably not available in Aus. :-(

Where did you buy yours.

I've never seen anything like it.  My son would not go anywhere near his potty.  To small.

We will see my daughter I think I will have to cox her into the potty training.  She has no idea when she has a wee going down her leg.  15 months  we cannot expect to much in December I will give it a go.
