Left Brained people

tinker79 by tinker79 Talking Back(October 2006) (rank 73rd)

These are  some of the results of my little study in Left Brained People and ideas on how to help them learn.

  • These left brained thinkers are more interested in details than understanding the whole idea
  • There are slowed by details- unable to move forward
  • Has difficulty with unlimited tasks
  • reluctant to trust feelings
  • more interested in ideas than people
  • Likes to be right
  • thorough and persistent
  • overly critical of self -expects perfection

To help teach them

  • give a chance to practice to learn new things.
  • intoduce new ideas in an orederly sequence
  • establish  safe routines
  • Break large concepts into smaller parts
  • use check lists to see their accomplishments
  • reveal predictable patterns whenever possible
  • Support ideas with as much detali as possible

Hope you have found  this one interesting.

Yes, but...what if.....
What if it is the parent that has all these "symptoms" ... I struggle with most of these things on a daily basis! LOL
