Finding Great Kids Books - JustOneMoreBook: Children's Book Podcast (Audio on Demand)

JustOneMoreBook by JustOneMoreBook Walking(October 2006) (rank 500+)

Being read to is an extremely important part of a child's life. Children should be read good books every day -- preferably good books read by people who love the children -- and who love reading to them.

My advice if you are looking for great children's

books (and are having a tough time finding them, because the big box stores are full of dime-a-dozen movie-themed books) is to check out the  "Just One More Book!!" podcast and its website.

The "Just One More Book!" podcast is a thrice-weekly audio on demand broadcast in which we provide advice on choosing children's books.

Episodes range in length from 5 to 12 minutes and can be played directly from our web page or downloaded to an ipod for listening on the go. Each episode is an informal discussion of one of our family's favourite children's books. You can listen to the reviews by double clicking the play buttons (">" ) on the "Listen Now" icons:

http://www.justonemorebook.com/

In case you're curious, the podcast is built on passion and is 100% completely volunteer powered. There are no advertisers or sponsers and no financial gain to be had. It's goal is to link children with great books and help create happy memories for children and the adults that read to them.

What a great resource!
Thanks so much for drawing my attention to this site.  I have listened to the review of Cinderella Skeleton, listener input show #3 and the interview with Ian Whybrow - and now I'm listening to Mike Artell explain how he writes with ADD readers in mind.

From experience
Or maybe recraft it from your personal experience with your children and why you thought of creating these tools and what your advice regarding reading together is, then a small plug about your material??? Most votes come from impactful parenting advice from personal experience, the least comes from short plugs without parenting advice, however in your own blog we encourage promotion! Hope this helps :)

Welcome to Minti
This is probably best written as a blog entry rather than as parenting advice :)
