Letting Go

Prema by Prema Walking(October 2006) (rank 500+)
The mother eagle makes its nest at the end of a high mountain cliff where its offspring hatch and grow; the mother nurtures its young ones with great love and care until one day it leads the little one to the edge of the cliff and gives it a push. This
push forces the bay eagle to fly. This push compels the little one to grow up and soar to the skies and fly to distant lads and experience the beauty of the universe. This push can be given only with the strength of the mind and confidence. Attachment and over indulgence can never enable the child to grow into an adult. Sometimes parents have to let go so the child grows.

letting go...
When I left Australia to travel the world (got as far as Canada) at the age of 24, my mum kept dreaming that I was trying to take a trip to the moon.  I say trying because in this dream I kept putting off the trip... And my mother in the dream kept telling me well if you are going to go just go, you'll come back....  Then one day the dream changed and she only had one this time... I actually took the trip. She said when she woke up from this dream she knew some how that she had no choice but to let me go as something major was about to happen, she had that motherly feeling... Two days after this dream I rang her up and told her that I was getting married and going to live in Canada....  I don't think anyone is truely prepared to let go but some times you don't really have a choice.

Cut the apron strings

It's so hard letting your babies grow up and watch them leave the '' nest''. But we all need to let go of our babies.

Great article! So true!
