Save money on pregnancy clothes - raid your man's underwear drawer.

Save money on pregnancy clothes - raid your man's underwear drawer.

Finding a t-shirt long enough to cover an expanding belly can be difficult (whether you're pregnant or not). Try wearing men's singlets under your t-shirts to provide the extra length (womens singlets are not usually long enough).

I find coloured singlets work best. That way you can still wear many of your pre-pregnancy t-shirts.

I have also been finding that keeping my trousers up can be a problem. It's a bit like trying to keep trousers on an egg.  I don't like anything tight around the bump. Sometimes I use safety pins to  pin the top of my trousers to the singlet (I use and older singlet as it sometimes creates holes). It gives me a break from tugging my trousers up every few minutes.

singlets
A singlet is a sleeveless undershirt, sometimes worn on it's own.

Sounds good...
I'd still have to go out and buy them though as the hubby is rather small compared to me.. Oh he is taller then me... But I am rounder then he...

Had to laugh
When I saw the title of this advice the very first image that came to mind was of a pregnant lady looking for boxers in her hubby's underwear draw! Great advice.

I did it!

I used to take my husbands shirts all the time while I was pregnant. Even before then too! LOL! Buying maternity clothes can be sooooooo expensive, expecially if you want them to last. I bought some stuff at walmart, it was alot cheaper than going to Thyme Maternity. I had to buy my underwear there and it was sooo freaking crazy on the price of JUST 1 !!!! It was like 15.00... FOR ONE PAIR! But I had to get them..  Expecially the maternity bra, oh my... More expensive then the ones that I do buy(and I buy at La Senza).. Walmart didn't have my size at all, so I had to spend the extra money..

But yes... wear your hubbys clothes if you're able to.. Like shirts for sure.. They work!!

Thanks for the advice, next time I get pregnant I will be doing that again, hehe
