Party games

tommygirl3669 by tommygirl3669 Talking(October 2006) (rank 153rd)

My son is goingot be 2 in December and  we are gonnahave a brthday part but how do I entertain children that have such a range in age.  6 months to 5 years.  I am think of having a pinata but what else can I do?

Hi. I just recently had this dilemma, accept, a more broader spectrum of age.

Pinatas are fantastic, I still think pin the tail on the donkey worked really well, if you put streamers on the kids, and let teh kids try and collect as many as they can without there's getting taken, that always works(not for the 6 month old) but 6 month olds always enjoy watching the big kids running around.

How about a treasure hunt.....hide their lolly bags around the yard? or just some lollies and party favours?

Does anyone know any cute party tricks?

How about simon says? and musical chairs still goes down ok:)

Pass the parcel where all the kids get something, musical statues, and simple things like flying kites, or making masks with them......

having ice cream, and having the kids put their own sprinkles on and stuff

colouring books in their party bags are good, and having pictures printed of them to make frames for is a winner too:)

Hope this helps in some way

Charene....

P.S I have lots more ideas if you just email me.

party ideas
Try to pick a theme and then gear your party games and events around it .. for example if your child loves farm animals then try to get a large cardboard box (usually available at furniture/appliance stores) and make a barn, paint it red and cut windows in it, can be as complicated or easy as you want ( just remember that it is going to get trashed by the end of the day lol ) and then play games like hide the cow, etc, and try to tie in your goody bags and cake etc with the theme .. sooooo many ideas, too bad the kids didnt have birthdays 3  or 4 times a year hahaha .. hope your party turns out, and whatever you decide I am sure he will have a fabulous birthday!!!
