Hi there, im a mother of four , i attend playgroup with many wonderful women, men and children. On occassions we get together for coffee and cake at each others homes.
*************************
One thing that always comes up in conversation is how nice we look .where we bought our shoes or our shirts,

as we all come from varied backrounds and shop all over the place. We have children that are forever growing out of their clothing/shoes.we all know that.
***************************
So we got together and after hearing all our clothing woes and pros we have decided to have a "clothing swap Day" at our playgroup.
Getting together with the ladies and swapping amoungst ourselves our unwanted clothing, shoes and even handbags.
# I started by bringing the idea up at our meeting,in general busisness and discussed the idea with all our playgroup mums and dads.
#then after agreeing on a date that would allow everyone to get there items together.
# I have written reminder notes which i will hand out at the next playgroup day ,which for us is a friday. So next week we will enjoy our first swap day.The first reason for deciding this would be good is that it doesnt matter how many ways you wear your favourite red blouse, it will eventually become old hat and the need for something newer and excited will get the better of you. Then you check the budget and decide you really cant get a new shirt. So why not try this idea of a clothes swap. Not only for playgroups but amoungst the street you live in ,or any other group you may belong to.I have been doing this amoung friends for so long every winter i clear out my summer stuff and in summer i claer out the winter stuff. Before long i have so much ,that its just begging to be given to someone else.I have passed on items to my mother recently ,she now has an incredible millers dress to wear to my cousins wedding that she could not have afforded herself.
