Children's Entertainment Ages 3-12

family-man by family-man Talking Back(October 2006) (rank 132nd)

It never ceases to amaze me however the children of this age range love nothing more than going to the beach and splashing in the water up to their knees even for 15 minutes. We went to the beach on Sunday afternoon with Mr 7 and Miss 9 with our

normal clothes on with the intention of walking along the beach. The excitement as the children got out of the car and ran onto the sand was priceless and it was quite a windy day by the time that we went which is not normally good for a visit to the beach. We did not want to swim so we had a walk along the beach, climbed some rocks together, dont let the children go by themselves, and walked a little further watching the kite boarders flying through the air. The kids splashed in the water up to their knees, had a lot of fun and it was free. It cant get any better than that. That night when you ask them what was the favourite thing that you did today the answer is always the same. Going to the beach.

If you are near a beach and have children this age take them there they love it even if they dont go swimming. It doesnt have to be warm they love it in winter too. It is a great environment and is perfectly safe when you stay on the shore. It is unbelievable the excitement of the children to run around in the space.

Going to the beach
We are about 10 minutes from the beach. I took the my 3 toddlers to the beach and they loved it. We actually took some sand toys  and  two  of  my kids loved splashing on the shore. My other child, he was about 13 months, stayed on the towel and played with the sand. He does not like crawling on grass or sand. He loved holding the sand though!!
